The 2010 Hawkeye football season kicks off this Saturday in Kinnick Stadium against the Eastern Illinois Panthers. Even though Iowa had a real scare against Northern Iowa in Iowa City during their season opener last fall, EIU doesn't seem near as threatening considering several of their players are not playing following an incident involving marijuana. A few Iowa players will be sitting out for the opener following some off-season shenanagins of their own as well as another incident beyond anyone's control. Regardless, I am very excited to watch the game from the band section and I hope everyone is pumped for an exciting game and a sweet Lady Gaga halftime show.
